18 of the Cutest Shops Niagara on the Lake
Niagara on the Lake, (also known as NOTL), is easily my favourite town in Ontario. It is just so cute. Honestly, that is the best way I can describe it to you, cute.
While visiting wineries in Niagara on the lake is often a highlight in this region, it’s not the only thing you should be experiencing.
NOTL’s downtown heritage district is full of charming boutiques, unique shops, art galleries, artisanal stores and delicious restaurants.
With its lakefront parks, historic district and incredible wineries, Niagara on the Lake makes the perfect getaway for couples, girls’ trips or family bonding experiences… or as an engagement destination (shout out to my amazing husband for proposing in NOTL).
And of course, exploring the shops Niagara on the Lake has to offer is an absolute must!

Pandaya Gallery & Edward Spera Gallery

Pandaya Gallery is easily my favourite shop in NOTL. Pandaya Gallery and the Edward Spera Gallery are owned by a husband and wife duo.
Pandaya Gallery offers eclectic artwork, jewelry, home decor and unique gifts from all over the world. The owners bring back incredible pieces from their travels across the globe.
My husband had to actively stop me from buying the whole store, haha.
The Edward Spera Gallery has a number of gorgeous art pieces of animals that are MESMERIZING. The artist uses inspiration from wildlife found on his travels to inspire his incredible works.
Both of these Niagara shops are well worth the visit and should definitely be on your Niagara shop list.
Just Christmas

Just Christmas is the oldest Christmas shop in Canada and is every Christmas lovers dream shop.
I am not going to lie, I am not a Christmas year-round type of girlie, however, this shop is super cute and does give you that magical feel of the Christmas season.
From sweet personalized ornaments (my family has one of these), to festive decor, this shop will definitely transport you to a Niagara winter wonderland!

Versions is not one of the typical souvenir shops. It is SO FUN. The signs, the t-shirts, the trinkets, honestly, everything is hilarious.
Some of my favourite sayings are from quotes I have seen at this store.
It is difficult to not buy something at this store, good luck!
Cool as a Moose

Serendipity, The Little French Shoppe

Serendipity, The Little French Shoppe is a charming boutique that sells everything from bath soaps to tea towels, scarves and tote bags to colognes.
Buy your loved one a gift or treat yourself to something here.
NEOB Lavender

This is a must visit for the lavender lovers out there. Find lavender soaps, skin care, home goods, cleaning products, oils and diffusers, gift sets, the list goes on.
The lavender products sold here come from the lavender grown in their flower farm.
If you loved your experience at their boutique, try to visit NEOB flower farm, open daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at 933 Niagara Stone Rd.
Tickets for entry are $5 per person and if you want to pick some lavender for yourself, $15 per person!

Ice cream lovers of the world, you must visit Cows, a Canadian ice cream STAPLE.
Cows started in 1983 in Prince Edward Island, Canada and now has locations all over Canada!
Made from fresh, local dairy, this is one of the best ice cream shops. However, there is more than just ice cream at these shops.
The t-shirts are also HYSTERICAL, Lactose and Mooci, LOL.
Rocky Mtn Chocolate

Every time I pass this store, I stare at the candy apples in the window. I am not a candy apple lover but one of these days I am going to buy one just because they look INCREDIBLE.
I usually purchase the chocolate boxes or bars here, however, there are so many different chocolate treats, you will definitely find something you love.

Niagara’s cheese boutique that should not be skipped! It reminds me of the Cheese Boutique that you should go to if you are visiting Toronto.
Cheese Secrets has artisan cheeses from all over Canada, France, Italy, Switzerland and more!
You can purchase a charcuterie board to go and set up for a picnic along Lake Ontario a few minutes walk from the historic town. Perfect date idea 😉
Maple Leaf Fudge

Maple Leaf Fudge is FUDGE heaven. This is my favourite treat shop in NOTL, I love to visit and try the new samples, they’re so DELISH.
I can’t even tell you my favourite flavour because there are SO many.
You get to see them making the fudge in the back in front of you, which makes for a wonderfully personal experience.
We have purchased blocks of fudge a couple of times but we tend to not eat it all in time, so a small amount goes a long way.
You can also purchase a tray with 6 different flavours that would be a great party platter.
Whether you’re a fudge lover or not, check this Niagara-on-the-Lake store out.
Old Tyme Candy Shoppe

A nostalgic, old school candy shop with every type of candy you can think of, literally. The Old Tyme Candy Shoppe has locations all around Canada and the NOTL store location is super cute.
Grab a baggy and stock up on as many different treats as possible.
This is a great place to take out of town visitors, kids and yourself if you have a sweet tooth!
If you plan to spend a day in Niagara Falls, they also have an Old Tyme Candy Shoppe. Stock up in both locations, win win, haha.
The Maple Syrup Store by White Meadows Farms

The name speaks for itself, maple syrup for days!!
If you have not yet had maple syrup from Canada, you MUST try it.
This is one of the best places to get your hands on some authentically Canadian maple syrup from White Meadows Farms.
You can find four flavours of maple syrup to try – golden, amber, dark and very dark.
Greaves Jams & Marmalades

Greaves is one of my favourite Niagara on the Lake stores. This NOTL shop is so CUTE.
Grab a few of their homemade jams, jellies and marmalades. All jams are homemade through locally grown fruits and have been around since 1927.
